Doin The Right Thing

For no reason I'm aware of, this morning while I was warming up my car, I started thinking about how people should just do the right thing. And how it must suck to create a situation for yourself that requires you to constantly be looking over your shoulder. That people would just generally be better off doing the right thing.

I began my drive.

About 20 mins into my drive there is a story on NPR of a man who won $20,000 cash in Canada. Crossing the border, he didn't want to report over $10,000 as is required by law, so he gave half to his friend and kept half. The government figured it out and took it all.

He. Got. Nothing. Cause he was unwilling to just do the right thing.

I wonder if he learned a lesson.
